Who this is for, and what it does

School is management software for coaching centres and small institutions — the batch of forty that meets four evenings a week, the neighbourhood school running on a register and a fees diary. It handles students, classes, teachers and subjects; attendance; fee structures and collection; exams, marks and report cards; timetables and assignments; and a parent portal. It is in private beta. We are not publishing user numbers, because we do not have honest ones to publish.

Attendance and timetables

Attendance is marked per class session and rolls up into reports you can actually act on — who is drifting, which batch has thinned out, which month went wrong. Timetables define when classes meet, and attendance hangs off those sessions rather than off a free-floating date. For a coaching centre where a student may be in three unrelated batches with three different schedules, this matters more than it does in a school with fixed periods.

Fees, exams and report cards

Fee structures are defined once per class or batch, then collection is tracked against them with receipts issued on payment. Coaching fee cycles are rarely a clean annual term — instalments, part payments and mid-cycle joiners are the normal case, not the exception. On the academic side, exams carry marks, and marks produce report cards, so the thing you hand a student is generated from the record rather than retyped into a template.

The parent portal, and what has to land before K-12

The parent portal closes the loop: attendance, marks and fee status visible to the person paying and asking, without a phone call to the office. Today the product is aimed at coaching centres and small institutions with adult or near-adult learners. Serving K-12 minors properly requires an age gate and a parental-consent flow, and we are finishing that work before pointing this at younger students. We would rather say that plainly than ship first.

Frequently asked questions

Is School available to sign up for today?
It is in private beta, not general availability. That means we are onboarding institutions deliberately and directly rather than opening self-serve signup, so we can fix things against real usage before widening access.
Is this suitable for a K-12 school with young children?
Not yet. An age gate and a parental-consent flow have to land before the product handles minors properly, and that work is not finished. Today it is built for coaching centres and small institutions whose learners are adults or near-adults.
Does it handle coaching fee cycles, not just annual school fees?
Yes. Fee structures are defined per class or batch and collection is tracked against them with receipts, which covers instalments, part payments and students who join partway through a cycle — the normal shape of coaching-centre billing.
What can a parent see?
The parent portal exposes the student's attendance, exam marks and fee status. The intent is that routine questions get answered without a call to the office, and that fee reminders do not depend on somebody remembering to send them.
Which platforms does it run on?
Android, iOS, desktop and the web from one codebase. The web build is the usual starting point for an office machine since there is nothing to install; staff who mark attendance on the move typically use the Android or iOS build.
