About Deck Builder

Deck Builder is a roguelike deckbuilding game in the vein of classic card battlers. Each run starts completely fresh — you build a unique deck from hundreds of possible cards through battle rewards, shops, and random events as you fight your way through waves of enemies. No two runs play the same, and the strategic synergies you discover between cards are what determine whether you reach the final boss or fall short.

High replayability comes from randomised card pools, varied enemy patterns, and run modifiers that change the rules each time. Thin your deck by removing weak cards at rest sites, discover powerful combos, and adapt your strategy to the cards the run offers you. Every run tells a different story — free to play in your browser with no download or account required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is each Deck Builder run different?
Yes — every run features randomised card reward choices, enemy encounter sequences, and shop inventories. No two runs play identically, which gives the game high replay value.
Can I remove cards from my deck during a run?
Yes — at specific rest sites between encounters you have the option to remove a card from your deck. Thinning your deck of weak cards improves consistency and is often a winning strategy.
What card types are there in Deck Builder?
Cards fall into four categories: Attack cards deal damage to enemies, Skill cards provide shields or apply effects, Power cards grant permanent buffs for the rest of the encounter, and Curse cards are negative cards that can sometimes appear.
How long does a Deck Builder run take?
A typical run takes between 20 and 40 minutes depending on your pace and how far you progress. Runs can be paused and resumed later since progress is saved in your browser.
